Efter Johnny Cash’ død er der rigtig kommet gang i udsendelsen af mandens efterladte arbejder. Man skulle næste tro, at arvingene var i pengenød… Men heldigvis har det meste af det været kunstnerisk interessant, for Johnny holdt jo den kunstneriske fane højt gennem det meste af sit liv.
Seneste produkt er en obbelt-DVD med titlen “The Best of Johnny Cash TV Show”, besstående af 64 live-optrædener fra de ialt 58 afsnit af The Johnny Cash Show, som blev sendt på amerikansk tv i perioden fra 1969 til 1971. I optagelserne kan man gense Johnny og familien Cash, men også navne som Bob Dylan, Stevie Wonder, Neil Young, Joni Mitchell, Ray Charles, Creedence Clearwater Revival, Louis Armstrong, Loretta Lynn, Neil Diamond, Jerry Lee Lewis, George Jones, Derek and the Dominos og Roy Orbison. Vennen Kris Kristoffersen guider seerne igennem de mange afsnit. Dertil kommer en del dokumentarmaterialer, interviews etc. Sangen fra DVD-projektet kommer også på en særlig cd.   1. Det var da slet ikke tosset. Men mÃ¥ give dig ret i at arvingerne er gÃ¥et helt i selvsving med at udgive. Cash-feberen er snarere blevet til en epidemi, sÃ¥ man efterhÃ¥nden mÃ¥ forsvare at man ikke ‘bare lige’ er hoppet med pÃ¥ en kult-bølge…
